Come enjoy a great all-inclusive resort experience where all your meals, and alcohol are included with your stay while you celebrate our wedding with us.
To take care of all your travel plans, we have been working closely with a travel agency that specializes in destination weddings, Avora Destinations. With their help, we have reserved a block of rooms with special group rates at the resort.
We ask that you book your stay directly from this site. Please note the travel information tabs near the bottom of this page-this is where all pertinent travel information can be found including general resort information and making your reservation.
In order to take advantage of the discounted pricing, all guests must have their reservations for the hotel made by and paid in full by March 16, 2027. If you make your reservation early, all that is needed is a deposit of $100 per room unless you opt for insurance, then your deposit is the amount of the elected policy.
We are currently holding rooms from August 4-8, 2027; however, you may book any dates you wish through this website (if we are not holding the room, our travel agent will request it be added to our group). Note, there is a 3-night minimum stay required by the resort. All guests must be staying at the resort in order to attend the wedding.

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya
Escape into luxury at Secrets Akumal. Ideally located in the heart of the Riviera Maya along the famed white-sand Akumal beach, this all-inclusive resort fuses elegant and original design with elements of nature. Check-in Policy: Check-in begins around 3pm Guests arriving earlier than 3 pm are welcome to use the resort immediately upon arrival even if their room is not ready. The hotel requires a credit/debit card authorization or cash deposit upon check-in for incidentals; this will place a hold on your funds. Check-out is 11am.

Flights: You can fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN) or Tulum Internation (TQO) though CUN will offer you the most flight options. Most airlines release flight schedules about 11 months in advance. Airfare is not included in our room block to allow guests the flexibilty to use their airline of choice. Sites like Google Flights are great to monitor available flights and current rates; however, we highly recommend booking airfare directly with the airline. Booking flights directly with the airline gives you faster help if plans change, easier refunds or changes, direct access to updates, loyalty perks, and fewer hidden fees.
Transportation: Private roundtrip transportation between CUN or TQO to Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya will be provided at no cost to our wedding guests. All you will need to do is share your flight information with Lauren at info@avoradestinations.com.
Passport: Every person traveling will need a valid passport book; you will not be able to board an international flight with a passort card. If you do not have a passport book, you should apply for one ASAP as the process can take some time. If you already have a passport book, please check the expiration date to ensure it is AFTER you would return from our destination wedding. Your passport should not expire within 6 months after travel. Even though your passport may be valid, the airline can deny you boarding if your passport expires within 6 months AFTER travel. Do not risk it, renew if you are due!
