Picture this: it's January in Ocean City, the boardwalk is a ghost town, the wind off the Atlantic could cut glass, and you're scraping ice off your windshield instead of garnishing a margarita. Meanwhile, the Ocean City Day Drinkers Club could be soaking up sun on the pool deck of Explorer of the Seas, drink in hand, watching the horizon instead of a weather forecast.
Billy & Holly are rolling out the red carpet for this one, and Explorer of the Seas brings everything a crew built for daytime fun could ask for: a massive pool deck and solarium for prime drink-the-day-away real estate, an onboard ice rink and rock climbing wall when you need to "work off" the festivities, a casino and entertainment lineup for the nights, and enough bars scattered across the ship that nobody ever has to wait long for a refill. Add in stops at sunny ports of Costa Maya and Cozumel where the only ice you'll see is in your glass, and you've got the perfect excuse to trade frostbite for flip-flops. So bundle up Maryland, because come January, the Day Drinkers are setting sail — and the only things getting cold are the cocktails.

Why the Explorer of the Seas?
Explorer of the Seas isn't just a cruise ship, it's basically a floating version of your favorite OCMD bar crawl, except this one has fifteen decks and never has to close early. Start at the Pool Bar for that first poolside cocktail, work your way to the Royal Promenade for live bands and street performers, and finish the night dancing at Dizzy's — and that's before you've even hit the other dozen-plus bars and lounges scattered across the ship. Need to "earn" the next round? There's a 40-foot FlowRider surf simulator, an ice-skating rink for some unexpected figure-eights, and twin racing waterslides called Typhoon and Cyclone as part of The Perfect Storm — sure beats a treadmill. And when it's time to just sit back and let the ocean do the entertaining, the adults-only Solarium offers laid-back lounging with a drink in hand. With 15 lounges and bars, 4 pools, and 7 hot tubs spread across the ship, there's truly no excuse for the OCMD Day Drinkers Club to ever go thirsty.
